Field Manager

Overview: We are looking for proactive, results- orientated, and natural leaders to join our team as field managers. Our field managers are responsible for recruiting, leading, motivating and developing the sales team within his/her geographical area.

The role: Our field managers drive sales and deliver profit to The Brand and Beverage Company and our clients by managing a team sales specialists in their geographical area to ensure that our clients’ brands are available and visible to township consumers. In this role you can expect to:
  1. Manage visit/call cycles of the team to ensure that all visit/call targets for the geographical area are met.
  2. Lead the sales team to ensure that brand sales specialists and brand visibility specialists
    1. Achieve visit/call targets
    2. Adhere to The Brand and Beverage Company standards, policies and procedures
    3. Keep to deadlines and reporting requirements
  3. Manage workforce planning and resources to ensure high quality customer service at all times
  4. Coach, mentor, motivate and manage team members in the field in order to increase sales
  5. Focus team members to achieve targets and maintain operational standards
  6. Achieve brand target requirements by measuring ongoing performance
  7. Set and monitor and manage clear performance objectives for all team members
  8. Prepare and implement personal development plans to develop and maintain a highly motivated team
  9. Accompany individual team members in the field on a one-on-one basis at least once a week to ensure efficient sales execution
  10. Compile and submit sales reports


  11. Requirements: You will have completed grade 12 or above at school and will ideally have completed an appropriate tertiary qualification (a diploma or short course in marketing or business management). You will be a natural “people’s person” with a hands on leadership style and the ability to coach, train and develop others. You will possess a previous track record in managing an efficient sales team who achieve results. In addition, you will have a strong knowledge of brands and brand strategies with experience of building brands and sales in the informal township market.
